Community Pride!

Kristie has been a proud resident of Frankfort, Ky throughout her childhood and majority of her adult life. Attending Elkhorn Middle School in the 6th and 7th grade, before transferring to Good Shepherd for her 8th grade year. She graduated with honors from Franklin County High School and though she attended Fisk University in TN on a full academic scholarship, she made Kentucky State University her Alma Mater.

She is passionately dedicated to her hometown; it's unique charm and community spirit.

Kristie is a proud Rotarian, a member of Frankfort Kiwanis, Chairperson of the Frankfort Human Rights Commission, Frankfort Chamber of Commerce member, Frankfort Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee member, Black Female Artists of Frankfort, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and most notably President of Focus on Race Relations (FORR) which exists to promote and encourage open and honest, face-to-face conversations about race and race relations in Frankfort and Franklin County.

Community Advocate

Kristie has served the KY legislators and their constituents in a nonpartisan capacity for the past 8 years, from the sidelines. As a Constituent Services Analyst, she was tasked with ensuring the concerns and needs of those in the Commonwealth were being heard and met. As she listened to citizens urging her to encourage those in power to address their needs and make necessary changes, it became clear that it was time for her to be the change they wanted to see and amplify the voices of Frankfort and Franklin County. She is that voice, here to serve the community that raised her, District 57.

Protecting the civil rights (i.e. voting, education, housing, gainful employment etc.) for all Kentuckians
Advancing Equality for all Kentuckians
Protecting women’s health and rights

EDUCATION

Supporting higher wages for First Responders & Public Employees
Celebrate our local HBCU (Kentucky State University) and further the collaboration between our community and our university.

ECONOMY

Protecting state pensions and COLA (Cost of Living Adjustments) and opposing sales tax expansion
